7. Pronunciation
A man was driving across Canada from the east coast and was on the 401, coming up to the exit for Gananoque. Being new to the area, he wasn’t exactly sure how to pronounce Gananoque – GANanoak? GaNANockie? GanaNOCK? One thing he was sure of, however. He was extremely hungry.
At the first Tim Hortons he saw in town, he parked his car and entered the building. When his turn came, he asked the server, “Could you please tell me how you pronounce the name of this place?”
The server looked incredulous.
Putting her hands on her hips, she said, “T-I-M, Tim, H-O-R-T-O-N-S, Hortons.”
It can be funny and charming in a way when someone misses the point. We certainly hope you don’t miss the point of hyperbarics. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) has proven to be an enormous help with respect to 14 conditions, including wounds that aren’t healing, radiation burns, crush injuries and even a certain type of sudden hearing loss. It’s a non-invasive treatment, a regenerative process, that increases the amount of oxygen your blood can carry. As a result, extra oxygen is brought to the wound in question to help it heal.
Having witnessed, as well as experienced, the benefits of HBOT, we at Halton Hyperbarics are total believers in its efficacy. If you ever have to deal with any of the 14 conditions, which are listed on our website at https://www.gericke-nesbitt.com/hbot, ask your doctor if HBOT is recommended for you. If it is, please bear us in mind.
